Perfection is a Fucking Illusion

I said what I said.

This post is strictly my opinion on the concept of perfection: it doesn’t exist. Perfection is nothing more than a societal myth, a carrot dangled in front of us, always just out of reach. In reality, there’s no such thing as being “perfect.” There’s only the best you can do, how you choose to look, act, and live.

Too often, people get caught up in chasing this elusive ideal of “perfection.” Whether it’s the perfect job, perfect body, perfect relationship, or even just the perfect Instagram post, we exhaust ourselves trying to achieve something that’s simply unattainable.

Let me tell you something: striving for “perfect” is like chasing a mirage—it’s never real, and it’ll leave you thirsty for validation you don’t need. Instead, focus on what feels authentic and meaningful to you.

Perfection isn’t the goal. Progress is. Growth is. Being unapologetically yourself is. Life is messy, imperfect, and gloriously real—and that’s what makes it beautiful.

So let’s collectively toss the idea of “perfection” in the trash and celebrate doing the best we can, with what we have, where we are.
